Leak Sealing
Leak Sealing is the process of sealing leaking pressure plant whilst it is on-line under pressure and temperature.
Leak sealing provides our clients with a quick and safe means of eliminating leaks to the environment whilst maintaning plant productivity. This cost effective solution reduces the damaging effects on the surrounding environment (such as; product emissions, noise levels, plant hazards, pipe damage and erosion), while saving our clients time and money in the process.
Leak sealing can be undertaken on leaking:
- Flanges
- Exchangers
- Pumps
- Valves
- Pipework
Leak sealing utilizes specialist compounds and a mechanical retaining device in part to affect a seal. The process combines stringent HSE procedures, risk assessments and PPE with experienced trained personnel and specialist equipment to ensure a safe effective seal.
Leak Sealing is a temporary fix to get the plant through to the next scheduled shutdown, when the item is repaired or replaced.
Standard blank insert clamps are stored up to 24” x 600LB, significantly reducing response time for urgent leaks.
